If I knew what I wanted, I'd ask for it....

In case you were wondering, here's how a perfect Mother's Day would shake down for me.

Wake up at 7:00 am. (what? if it's gonna be a perfect day, I want to experience all of it...)

Go for a run, but actually run the whole thing instead of copping out and walking half of it.

When I get dressed, my jeans skirt from high school fits again.

When I get finished getting dressed for the day, Starbuck's in waiting for me on the deck. Only it's just like I want it and I didn't have to tell anyone or write it down first.

All the laundry is miraculously finished and folded and the kids have put their clothes where they belong.

The lunches are made for the week and I didn't have to do it.

All the blogs I follow have new entertaining posts and I have time to look at all of them and even click on the links

My fantasy baseball team wins its match up for the week - oh wait, that's been happening I'm in first place right now. Yep...little old me giving all the boys a beat down...

I go out to lunch with my mom and sisters - we sit outside and drink wine and eat salads and order dessert. (and my jeans skirt still fits)

I go to the ballpark and watch the oldest pitch a no-hitter and hit a homerun. (He's done both, but in different games)

The little one and I spend some time hanging at Target and Staples shopping for office supplies, cute jammies and Hello Kitty lip gloss

Every closet and drawer in the house is magically organized and all the crap I've been wanting to get rid of has magically been recycled or donated and is no longer in my house.

All my students pass their IB test - this could happen by Mother's Day this year, but I won't know until July.

For dinner we grill out and enjoy a beautiful spring evening

Then, we turn in and find out that TNT is broadcasting all three episodes of Lord of the Rings and I drift off to sleep while Aragorn is steadfastly fighting orcs and Gimli and Legolas are counting their dead at Helm's Deep...

(and there's a water main break at school on Monday but we don't have to make up the extra day off...)

Hey - a girl can dream, can't she?

Just trying to distract myself, Chemguy...

I was thinking of blogging a list like this myself. You have some great ideas though. Any chance your "perfect day" scenario could fall into the hands of that special some one who could help make some things happen?

well Bdubba...considering the fact that today's rainout will most likely be rescheduled for Mother's Day, probably not...

no worries - I'm still ditching the crew and going to lunch with my mom and sisters!

I've been reminding all of my friends to call their mothers and buy them lots of nice things!

Happy Mother's Day in advance!
