PS. For the record, I really want the purple one but that would totally clash with my sweet new phone...The oldest wants the red one - maybe I'll bring his butt to PHS one of these days...

shake to shuffle will be despised by people like me who use their mp3 players when they are running and need it attached to their body. genius mode is a glorified commercial for iTunes.
i will think about buying an iPod when they think about making it a little more open source-ish. as in not restricting my iPod to only 3 or whatever computers, not requiring my music files to be converted into their own format (thereby putting their own licensing restrictions on them), and giving removable batteries.

the new design is snazzy though, as i expect from apple. i just take issue with their kinda authoritative (though, admittedly, mainstream) technology standards
